You should order your birth kit around 34-35 weeks so that it is delivered before your 37-week home visit.

We will file your baby’s birth certificate with the KY Department of Vital Statistics after your birth. Once it is filed, you can use this form to order an official copy of the birth Certificate. The Social Security Card will come in the mail automatically 2-4 weeks after I file the birth certificate, addressed to your baby!
